Mechanical Movement
This is the most basic type of movement you can have. The ball moves from a point on the left to a point on the right at a constant speed without any slo-in or slo-out of the movement. In other words, the spacing between each of the drawings of the ball are all exactly the same.

This type of timing gives the ball a very stiff and mechanical feel to it. You would very rarely use this in character animation but it shows the basic principle of movement from point A to point B.

There are 17 drawings to this action. They were shot in reverse (17 to 1) to get the movement from right to left on the screen.
