I just dug up an old Nelvana Memo from April 23rd 1983 that listed all of Inspector Gadget's gadgets. Here's what it says:

gadget-hand (comes from gadget-hat)
gadget-hat (contains lotsa gadgets) (includes spring when he falls upside down)
gadget-brella (pops out from top of hat) (NEVER "umbrella")
gadget-legs (giant springs)
gadget-roller skates (come from bottom of shoes)
gadget-coat (trenchcoat which inflates by pulling a button)
gadget-copter (helecopter blade from top of hat)
gadget-hand (various tools - pls. refer to model sheets to make sure gadgets come from correct finger etc.)

gadget-key (for handcuffs) sometimes called Gadget-handcuffs
