Lenny was patterned after the character Lenny in 'Of Mice and Men' played by Lon Chaney Jr. I wanted him to be a big dumb guy. I thought the voice for him was perfect when I first heard it. Exactly as I had imagined he would sound while I was drawing him.
Squirt was fun to design. He's my favorite of all the M.A.D. agents just because he's so small and goofy looking. It seemed to me that he was probably the most used agent throughout the series. I especially liked him in the alien costume from the 'Invasion' episode.
