Storyboard Scene 16
Scene 16 panel 1:
Dr. Fritz is sitting at an animation table drawing a cartoon. He laughs gleefully.
Scene 16 panel 2:
He flips the drawings to show a character moving on the paper.
Here’s the payoff scene for the entire cartoon. Dr. Fritz is laughing uncontrollably and muttering, “It’s alive, alive I say...” as he flips two animation drawings of a little stick figure character.

Get it? He needed the electricity to power the light table so that he could animate this crappy little character... get it??! ...aw forget it.

I thought it was funny.

So, anyway... I’m still working away at this cartoon in the odd little spare time that I get now and then. I’d like to make it a work in progress that I will be posting onto the site every so often for you to view pencil tests, backgrounds, the leica reel of the entire film, etc, etc.

Hopefully it will inspire you to try to make a little cartoon just for fun as well. Who knows, you may be able to use it in your portfolio some day and get a swell job in a studio.

Check back in every so often to see how it’s coming along. I’ll do the same thing as I did with the storyboard and fill up some space with some info and insights about why I’m doing something a certain way. Hopefully, you’ll find it helpful.
